We meet for worship each Sunday at 10.00am.

Our services are intended to engage the people of God in meaningful worship through scripture, message and music.

We celebrate the sacrament of communion once per month, usually in the morning worship.

The sacrament of baptism is conducted when the opportunity presents itself! And we always look forward to this exciting event.

You will hear and participate in a variety of musical styles during our worship services. The Praise Band and Singers along with the organ lead us in raising our voices to God in celebration, confession, gratitude, and service.

RANAN  Praise Band and Singers

The Band and Singers meet the first Wednesday of each month at 7p for rehearsal and each Sunday morning at 9.00a. The singers are drawn from the Chancel Choir and most band members sing in the choir as well although not a requirement. There are three groups of singers who rotate on a weekly basis.

Music learned is that from Integrity Hosanna, Vineyard, Iona, and various writers like Graham Kendrick, Stuart Townend, Sandi Olbrich, and Terry McAlmon.

The band consists of piano, keyboard, drums, bass, clarinet/sax, guitar and flute.

Youth Praise Band The Youth Band leads in worship once or twice a month. The band meets on the second and fourth Wednesday at 7.30p for rehearsal.

First Church Chancel Choir

Voices2004-ssprgm 082.jpg

chancel (chan'sil) n. the part of a church around the altar, for the clergy and the choir.

This name by its definition describes the place where we sing. It is also intended to bring a focus and purpose to our function which is to bring the listener to a spiritual "chancel" - a place before and around the throne of God. A sacred place where we bring the sacrifice of praise, a heart of worship.

The choir was established in January of 1996 under the leadership of our current Director of Music, Dale E. Dickau. The choir has 56 members and participates regularly in the worship services of First Church and has opportunities to sing at community functions and also participate in worship at other churches as well.

The choir is accompanied by Carolyn Neufeld.

The Chancel Choir undertook a recording project in 2002 called "Praise His Holy Name".     Listen:

"Praise His Holy Name"

"As Long As I Have Breath"

"The Promise of the Thorn"

"Run to the Cross"

The choir rehearses each Thursday at 7.30p from September to June.

 No audition required.
